So Taylor has some ideas for some sketches, eh? Reminds me a little of the John Travolta story in Jay Mohr's book, where he takes the entire staff hostage for 45 minutes with his ideas he had prepared on a notepad. In the end, all he did was waste everybody's time for 45 minutes.

On the other hand Kevin Spacey apparently came in with tons of ideas of what he wanted to do for his first time hosting, and that show went down really well.

Pretty funny- especially the last one.

They're great and they've got that weird "The Office" sensitivity about them.

The best hosts are usually people like Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, or Alec Baldwin, who you can tell have had some input into the sketches. Not that I'm comparing her to them, but I'd rather someone be excited about hosting and have ideas they want to contribute, instead of like an Annette Bening-type host who you can tell is just being led around and wants to have as little input into the show as possible.

Jimmy did joke that "They usually won't do your suggestions, but go ahead"...It didn't really seem like he was kidding that much, so maybe they will ignore her and do what they want to do anyway.

My perspective would be different if I thought that she maybe had good ideas. But honestly, I don't, and I think in that situation your best bet is to play game and let the writers do the writing and hope a mediocre show pops out (see: LeBron James). I would compare her more to athlete hosts than normal actors and actresses, and I think it's clear that Peyton Manning is a special case sports host.

Well if the writing is typically considered stale, which is all you ever read on most websites for SNL, then I have no problem with some new ideas being pitched. It's not like she's some idiot. She's a highly respected songwriter among her many other talents.

I don't know if this has been brought up but - will Budweiser still be 'sponsoring' the old sketch goofs like last time?

Ahhh... I forgot about that. Somehow, I doubt it but it would be great if they featured those goofs again.

I think that was a one time thing.
